I spend a lot of time in my shop. As I get older I have found it is a good investment to make my time in the shop comfortable and more enjoyable. I few years back I invested in a stereo system for the shop. This was a mix of new and old components. The system includes a new receiver and 6 speakers. The six speakers cover most areas in the shop and are decent quality. The receiver is again decent quality and most important for me it has an auxiliary input. This allows me to plug my laptop or MP3 into the stereo so I can listen to music or podcasts while I am turning wrenches. There are very few times where I am in the shop and the stereo is not on. Listening to music and podcasts keeps me motivated and many of the podcasts I listen to are very educational. Pics of my shop stereo and speakers below.
